Every year, we look forward to seeing which colours will shape our homes. While 2026 leaned into deep browns and soft blues, 2027 is all about nature, comfort, and timeless style. Benjamin Moore’s 2027 Colour of the Year is Webster Green HC-130, a rich, classic green that feels both familiar and fresh. It brings a calm, welcoming touch to any space, making it perfect for busy families who want warmth and personality.
As your friendly flooring team, we’re here to help you pair it with floors your family will love for years to come. Read on to explore how Webster Green can create a space full of comfort and character.
Benjamin Moore picked Webster Green HC-130 as its 2027 Colour of the Year. The brand calls it “the quintessential shade of green.” It’s a mid-tone green, which means it isn’t too light or too dark, and makes it easy to use in almost any room.
What makes Webster Green special is its balance. It has a touch of blue that keeps it calm and steady, plus a hint of yellow that adds warmth and cheer. The result is a green that feels peaceful without being cold, and lively without being loud. It looks natural on its own and also pairs easily with warm whites, soft tans, and the rich wood tones many families already have at home.
Webster Green sits right where classic and modern meet. It looks just as good in a traditional home as it does in a modern or transitional one, and it has enough depth to make a statement but stays soft enough to live with every day.
Designers love it on built-ins, trim, and other architectural details. It’s also a natural fit for entryways and mudrooms, where it makes a strong first impression. Outside, it’s a great choice for a front door or shutters, since it works with the greens of your yard and garden.
Webster Green also fits right in with the bigger 2027 colour trends. This year, green showed up across many brands’ picks. Sherwin-Williams and HGTV Home chose Celery, a soft yellow-green, and Behr chose Grounded (T27-01), a mossy olive. Across the trend forecast, warm, earthy, nature-inspired shades are replacing the cool grays and flat beiges of years past.
Pro Tip: Webster Green pairs beautifully with warm whites and soft neutrals. For an easy, classic look, try Webster Green trim or built-ins against neutral walls, or flip it with Webster Green walls and crisp white trim.
